Unseen does not collect, store, share, or transmit any personal data — ever. Unseen is a Mac utility that blurs or hides parts of your screen. It is designed so that your screen content cannot leave your device.
None. Unseen has no servers and no network capability. It cannot send data anywhere because it ships with no network permission — the macOS App Sandbox blocks any outgoing connection at the system level.
To blur the area behind a zone, the advanced modes (Gaussian, Pixelate, Text) capture the screen region using Apple's ScreenCaptureKit and Apple's on‑device Vision framework. These captured pixels are:
The only file Unseen ever writes is a screenshot you explicitly export, saved to the location you choose.
Unseen does not use the Accessibility permission and is not a keylogger.
Your preferences and saved profiles are stored locally on your Mac (in standard app preferences). They never leave your device.
None. Unseen uses only Apple's own frameworks. There are no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs of any kind.
Unseen collects no data from anyone, including children.
