Getting started

• Click the eye icon in the menu bar (top‑right) to open the quick panel.
• Pick a type and strength, then New zone (or press ⌘⇧B) and draw a rectangle over anything you want to hide.
• Drag a zone to move it, use the bottom‑right handle to resize, hover the ✕ to remove it — or press Esc.

Why does Unseen ask for Screen Recording?

The Gaussian, Pixelate and Text modes need to read the area behind your zone to blur it. Everything is processed on your Mac and never leaves it. The Frosted and Cover modes need no permission at all.

I granted the permission but the blur is empty.

Quit and relaunch Unseen — some macOS versions activate Screen Recording only after a restart of the app.

How do I close a full‑screen text blur?

Press Esc (or ⌘W), or use the menu‑bar icon ▸ Clear all. The full‑screen mode stops just below the menu bar so the icon and ✕ stay reachable.

Is the text‑blur 100% reliable?

Text mode uses on‑device detection and catches most text, but it isn't a guarantee. For total privacy, use a strong Gaussian blur, the Cover mode, or raise the veil.

Does Unseen send any of my data?

No. Unseen has no network access whatsoever. See the Privacy Policy.
